We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our Barista Training Program.
This role is designed for those with little or no barista experience but who have the passion and drive to learn.
Successful trainees who demonstrate strong skills, commitment, and excellent customer service may be offered permanent employment upon completion of the training program.
Purpose of the Role
As a Trainee Barista, you will undergo structured training in coffee brewing techniques, customer service, and café operations.
You will learn how to craft high-quality beverages, maintain equipment, and deliver excellent guest experiences.
This role provides a pathway into a rewarding career in the specialty coffee and hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities (During Training & On the Job)
Learn and practice the preparation of espresso-based and specialty coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages under supervision.
Understand and follow standard recipes, portion controls, and presentation techniques.
Develop skills in operating, cleaning, and maintaining coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, brewers).
Gain knowledge of coffee beans, roasting methods, flavor profiles, and brewing styles.
Support café operations by assisting in restocking supplies, keeping the coffee station organized, and maintaining hygiene standards.
Provide friendly, professional, and attentive customer service to enhance guest satisfaction.
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth service delivery.
Perform other tasks as required by supervisors or management.
Who We’re Looking For
Interested candidates should possess an OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field.
Young and passionate about coffee, hospitality, and delivering great customer experiences.
Willing to learn, with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Previous hospitality experience is a plus, but not required.
