Ardova Plc is a Nigerian leading indigenous and integrated energy company involved in the distribution of petroleum products. With an extensive network of over 450 retail outlets in Nigeria and significant storage facilities in Apapa, Lagos and Onne, Rivers State, we procure and distribute petrol (PMS), diesel (AGO), kerosene (DPK) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Our services also involve the manufacturing and distribution of a wide range of quality lubricants from our oil blending plant in Apapa, Lagos. These lubricants include Super V, Visco 2000 and Diesel Motor Oil. We are also the sole authorised distributor of Shell branded Helix Engine Oils in Nigeria.

The Team Lead, AP Lubricant Sales is responsible for the revenue drive of AP lubricant products and will provide consistent and qualitative technical support service to AP customers.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Sales Associates operating across different distributor territories.
Set clear sales targets for team members and provide regular performance feedback.
Conduct weekly and monthly reviews with Sales Associates to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement sales strategies to increase retail, wholesale, and direct sales channels.
Prioritize distributor territories and allocate resources to high-potential markets.
Ensure consistency in the execution of route-to-market strategies across all distributors.
Build strong partnerships with multiple distributors to ensure alignment on sales objectives, stock availability, and market activations.
Conduct joint market visits with distributors and Sales Associates to strengthen relationships and resolve operational challenges.
Identify new business opportunities, expand market coverage, and deepen penetration in existing territories.
Oversee key account management for major retail groups, workshops, and B2B customers.

Requirements
Education:

A Degree or its equivalent with a minimum of a 2.2 in Engineering or Industrial Chemistry (mandatory).

Experience:

6-8 years relevant experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing etc with a minimum of 3 years in a Lubricant Sales role
Relevant professional certification is an added advantage.

Skills:

Good knowledge of AP’s products and services, specifically Lubricant.
Good understanding of the chemical combinations, usage and advantages of individual lubricant products of the organization.
Critical thinking and problem-solving with a results-driven mindset.
Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to adapt to changing environments.
