The University of Ilorin, also known as Unilorin, is a university in Ilorin, Nigeria.
It was established by a decree of the Federal Military Government in 1975 and is a federal government owned tertiary institution of education located in Ilorin, Kwara State, western Nigeria.[1][2] The ancient city of Ilorin, capital of Kwara State, is about 300 km from Lagos and 500 km from Abuja, the country’s administrative capital. Candidate must possess SSCE / GCE (O/L) or its equivalent with at least 5 credits inclusive of English Language and Mathematics plus OND or its equivalent in the relevant discipline (Engineering fields / Architecture / Quantity Surveying/ Estate Management / Building Technology and be computer literate with at least ten (10) years cognate experience or SSCE / GCE(O/L) or its equivalent with at least 5 credits inclusive of English Language and Mathematics plus HND or its equivalent in the relevant discipline (Engineering fields / Architecture / Quantity Surveying Estate Management /Building.
Must have NYSC certificate and be computer literate with at least four (4) years cognate experience.

Appointment is normally on probation, which may be confirmed after two years of satisfactory service.
