We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in the manufacturing sector to join our dynamic team in Sagamu.
The successful candidate will bring over 9 years of hands-on experience, proven technical expertise, and demonstrated leadership skills to oversee electrical systems, drive efficiency, and lead a team of engineers toward achieving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities / Job Functions
Lead and supervise a team of electrical engineers and technicians in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems within the manufacturing facility.
Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance programs for electrical equipment and machinery.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues to minimize downtime and optimize production output.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, production, quality assurance, etc.) to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Drive innovation in energy efficiency and sustainable electrical engineering practices.
Prepare technical reports, project proposals, and documentation for management and regulatory review.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s Degree is an added advantage).
Minimum of 9 years’ experience in electrical engineering within the manufacturing industry.
Professional engineering certification or membership in relevant engineering bodies is an added advantage.
Strong leadership and people-management skills, with proven ability to supervise and motivate a team.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, industrial automation, and PLCs.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
