The University of Ilorin, also known as Unilorin, is a university in Ilorin, Nigeria.
It was established by a decree of the Federal Military Government in 1975 and is a federal government owned tertiary institution of education located in Ilorin, Kwara State, western Nigeria.[1][2] The ancient city of Ilorin, capital of Kwara State, is about 300 km from Lagos and 500 km from Abuja, the country’s administrative capital. Candidate must possess SSCE attempted plus Trade Test Grade III plus at least seven (7) years cognate experience or SSCE attempted plus Trade Test Grade II with at least four (4) years cognate experience or SSCE / GCE(O/L) or its equivalent with at least 3 credits in the relevant subjects and 2 passes inclusive of English Language plus Trade Test II plus four (4) years cognate experience or SSCE/GCE (O/L)/ FED. Craft/NABTEB Part I with at least 5 credits inclusive of English Language and Mathematics plus Trade Test II.
