The Security Manager will be responsible for strengthening the safety and security framework across our project sites in Nigeria.
He/she will be responsible for improving overall site security performance, developing and implementing robust security plans to ensure the protection of expatriate staff, and reviewing, updating, and enforcing security policies and procedures in line with global best practices.
What you'll be doing
Support the Country Security and Administration Director to develop and implement security policies and plans, ensuring the personal safety of new projects
Oversee daily conduct of Chinese expatriates to ensure adherence to security systems, procedures, and facilities
Support the Country Security & Administration Director to enhance LAP security systems, procedures, and facilities.
Site security audit to avoid incidents
What we are looking for
Minimum of 5 years of experience in security related leadership roles
Security or military background
Extensive work and/or management experience in security related field
Project management experience and/or qualifications
Map reading, terrain assessments and transcribing location data into maps, planning tools or briefings
Proficient with Microsoft Office / Google based applications
PowerPoint briefings
Organization Structure:
The role reports to the Country Security and Administration Director
Core Competencies:
Execute security duties responsibly. Familiarity with all aspects, sections, patrol lines, and security objectives within the Project. Organize team members to conduct frequent inspections, identify potential security hazards, and report them promptly. Handle general issues appropriately and maintain complete records.
Assess the discipline and attendance of security team members. Organize and direct the team in completing all assigned security tasks. Maintain accurate and truthful work logs and ensure proper handover procedures between shifts.
Strictly enforce the company's rules and regulations. Organize all security personnel for professional knowledge study and security skill training, ensuring the entire team maintains a rigorous style, follows orders, remains dedicated to their duties, treats others with sincerity and courtesy, and upholds the company's positive image.
