About The Role
As a Payroll Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for employees across the organization.
You will manage payroll operations, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, support audits, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and service excellence.
Your Key Responsibilities
Process monthly payroll and salary payments, including allowances, deductions, and statutory contributions.
Prepare monthly variance reports and ensure timely posting of accruals and actuals.
Conduct monthly checks for negative net pay, tax compliance, and statutory deductions (NHF, ITF, NSITF, Pension).
Ensure compliance with labor laws, including the 33.3% rule.
Support internal audits and collaborate with plant locations on payroll-related matters.
Partner with banks and HR teams on scheme loans and amortization schedules.
Lead time and attendance compliance in collaboration with HRBPs and location managers.
Maintain high standards of integrity and customer satisfaction in all payroll activities.
Support the Rewards team with additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
You have experience in payroll or accounting, ideally within the FMCG sector.
You are proficient in SAP or other ERP systems and advanced in Microsoft Excel.
You have strong analytical and financial analysis skills.
You are detail-oriented, organized, and maintain strict confidentiality.
You are familiar with Nigerian statutory deductions and labor law compliance.
You are a strong communicator and collaborator, able to work across teams.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities.
