Our client is seeking an experienced Port Engineer to manage and optimize the operation of their vessel fleet at Port Harcourt.
The ideal candidate will independently diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel-powered vessels and equipment, ensuring optimal availability and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee maintenance and repair of diesel engines, generators, hydraulic and electrical systems.
Monitor and improve planned maintenance programs.
Manage repair budgets and control costs.
Lead and mentor technical teams.
Ensure compliance with safety policies and conduct risk assessments.

Qualifications

HND / Bachelor's Degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering.
Certificate of competency Class 1 NCV or Class 2 unlimited.
3 – 5 years of relevant workshop experience on the role.
Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
