The Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist with dispensing medications, maintaining patient records, and performing administrative tasks.
They play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with dispensing medications, including counting, labeling, and packaging.
Maintain patient records and profiles.
Process prescriptions, including data entry and verification.
Manage inventory, including ordering and stocking medications.
Provide excellent customer service and answer patient questions.
Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing.
Requirements
Diploma in Pharmacy Technician or equivalent with 1 – 5 years work experience.
Completion of a pharmacy technician training program.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
