Key Responsibilities
Dispensing Medications:
Under a pharmacist's direct supervision, they may assist with measuring, counting, and packaging medications, preparing prescription labels, and ensuring accurate delivery of drugs.
Inventory Management:
A crucial duty is monitoring and maintaining the pharmacy\\\'s stock of medications and supplies, including checking for expired items, rotating stock to front-expiry items, and placing orders for replenishment.
Patient Interaction:
Assistants interact with customers by receiving prescriptions, answering phone calls and general inquiries, providing information on over-the-counter remedies, and assisting with payment and insurance claims.
Administrative Tasks:
They manage patient records, update pharmacy computer systems, prepare patient invoices, and organize office supplies.
Pharmacy Operations:
This includes maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment, ensuring all equipment is in good working order, and compiling statistics like the number of prescriptions filled.
Adherence to Regulations:
