Prosperity Microfinance Bank Nigeria Limited (PMBank) is a Microfinance Bank incorporated in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria in March 2005.Job Purpose

The Managing Director (MD) is responsible for providing overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight of the Microfinance Bank.
The MD ensures the bank’s profitability, regulatory compliance, financial sustainability, and alignment with its vision of promoting financial inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and direction for the bank in line with policies approved by the Board of Directors.
Formulate, implement, and monitor business strategies that drive profitability, sustainability, and growth.
Ensure compliance with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), NDIC, and all other regulatory requirements.
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, customer satisfaction, and adherence to best practices.
Lead risk management practices, including credit portfolio quality, liquidity, and operational risk control.
Drive innovation and digital transformation to improve financial services delivery and customer reach.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers, regulators, shareholders, and the community.
Prepare and present periodic operational and financial reports to the Board of Directors.
Champion corporate governance, transparency, accountability, and ethical business practices.
Lead, mentor, and motivate management and staff to achieve organizational objectives.
Identify and develop new products, services, and markets that align with the bank’s mission of financial inclusion.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
A Master’s degree (MBA, MSc) and/or professional certifications (ACIB, ICAN, ACCA, CFA, CIBN) will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years of banking experience, at least 5 years in senior management positions within microfinance, commercial, or development banking.
Strong understanding of CBN regulations, microfinance operations, credit administration, and financial management.
Proven track record of business growth, leadership, and strategic execution.
