We are looking for an experienced and passionate Local Cook to prepare a variety of authentic Nigerian dishes in a clean, efficient, and timely manner.
The ideal candidate should be skilled in cooking traditional meals from different regions of Nigeria and be able to maintain high standards of hygiene and taste.
This role requires someone who is reliable, hardworking, and committed to delivering great-tasting local food every time.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a wide range of Nigerian local dishes.
Ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner and served fresh.
Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment at all times.
Follow recipes or instructions provided and ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
Monitor and manage food supplies and ingredients; report shortages.
Adhere to proper food storage and handling procedures.
Comply with all local food safety and hygiene standards.

Requirements

Minimum of SSCE preferred; vocational or culinary training is a plus but not compulsory.
Proven experience as a local cook in a restaurant, hotel, or private home.
Ability to cook a variety of Nigerian dishes confidently and consistently.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
Good communication skills and ability to take feedback.
Must be dependable and have a positive attitude toward work.
