A Construction Company is seeking a young, dynamic Laboratory Technician to support project planning, design, and execution by conducting sampling, testing, verification, and validation of construction materials.
The successful candidate will ensure all materials comply with project quality standards and specifications.

Position Overview / Responsibilities

Collect construction material samples in accordance with the approved quality plan
Assist in the analysis of raw materials, intermediate and finished samples to verify compliance with specifications.
Perform construction sample testing, including sieve analysis and moisture content determination.
Identify and promptly report deviations from quality standards to the QA/QC Officer and Project Engineer.
Recommend and implement improvements to laboratory operations and maintenance of equipment and instruments.
Prepare and submit periodic laboratory analysis and activity reports.
Maintain effective housekeeping and safety practices within the laboratory.
Assist in maintenance ISO quality management systems within the laboratory unit.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in civil/building industry.
Practical experience with soil tests, concrete tests and bitumen testing is highly desirable
Proficient in operating modern laboratory equipment and applying industry sampling standards
Ability to follow procedures accurately, efficiently and safely.
Competent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
