IT Support Engineer

Your main duties will include:

  • Provide first and second-level technical support to end-users, addressing issues related to hardware, software, network, and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to operating systems, applications, and hardware, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and hardware components, adhering to company policies and best practices
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to analyze and resolve complex technical issues, escalating when necessary
  • Coordinate with pawaPay suppliers for hardware procurement and hardware / software support
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of IT assets, support tickets, and system configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and efficient troubleshooting
  • Assist in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure data integrity and business continuity
  • Provide technical assistance and training to end-users, promoting the adoption of new technologies and fostering a positive user experience
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives, including system upgrades, migrations, and security enhancements, to support the organization’s strategic goals
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the IT support function
  • Manage IT related projects such as software rollouts / upgrades and OTP Phone management
  • Support Company Management in gaining and retaining ISO27001 certification.

What is required of the ideal candidate?

  • Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems, as well as common office productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office, G Suite)
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Experience with remote support tools and methodologies, including remote desktop, VPN, and remote administration tools
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is a plus
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
