As a Financial Control Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, monitoring budget performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal financial policies.
Responsibilities
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, vendor accounts, customer accounts, and other financial ledgers.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in reconciliations promptly.
Ensure proper documentation and accuracy of financial transactions in line with company policies.
Support the preparation of financial reports, statements, and analyses for management.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), tax regulations, and microfinance banking regulations.
Establish and maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure adherence to internal financial policies and procedures.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Minimum of 3–4 years’ experience in finance, accounting, or audit, with strong exposure to reconciliations.
Proven knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and internal controls.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
Salary
N300,000 Monthly.
