The Finance/Accounts Manager at Felton Energy Services Limited plays a vital role in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing accurate financial insights to support decision-making. They will oversee day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, tax management, and budgeting to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the company.

Reports To: Managing Director/CEO

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate all day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
Develop and implement financial policies, systems, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Ensure timely preparation and accurate presentation of financial statements, management reports, and performance analysis.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and cost control to support operational efficiency.
Monitor and ensure compliance with all statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements, including proactively applying updated knowledge of current tax laws and reforms in Nigeria.
Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other financial institutions.
Supervise and mentor the finance/accounts team to improve performance and build capacity.
Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic business decisions and growth initiatives.
Drive process improvement and automation within the finance function to enhance efficiency.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial support for business projects and initiatives.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial position is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is highly desirable.
