Fiber support engineer is involved in all facets of fiber splicing including cable preparation, termination, fusion splicing, testing and troubleshooting.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
Splicing, testing and troubleshooting of fiber sites and links
Documenting and reporting on work completed
Maintaining project and safety documentation
Inspecting fiber routes and cabinets as preventive maintenance
Locating fault and mobilizing resources within minimal time to counter fault
Restoring links within the MTTR or less depending on the critically.
