We are hiring a Fiber Engineer for Fiber Connected Solar Base Stations.
As a fiber Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fiber optic network.
You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber connections to our base stations.
This is a hands-on role that requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of network quality.
Key Responsibilities
Install, splice, and test fiber optic cables for base stations
Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure network integrity.
Conduct site surveys to plan and design fiber optic pathways.
Collaborate with the network operations team to optimize fiber connections.
Document all work performed and maintain accurate records.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Respond to network outages and perform emergency repairs as needed.
Requirements
Proven experience as a fiber Engineer or similar role in telecommunications.
In-depth knowledge of fiber optic cable installation, splicing, and testing techniques.
Proficiency with fiber optic testing equipment (OTDR, power meters, etc.).
Familiarity with network infrastructure and base station connectivity.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various sites as needed.
Relevant certifications (e.g., FOA, CFOT) are a plus.
