Description

We are seeking to employ a dedicated and enthusiastic English Language Teacher who has a genuine passion for teaching and the ability to create a positive and engaging classroom experience.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of teaching experience, a deep understanding of the Nigerian/British curriculum, and strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in English Language.
Develop and implement lesson plans in line with the Nigerian and British curricula.
Assess students’ progress and provide appropriate feedback.
Foster a classroom environment conducive to learning and the personal development of students.
Make effective use of technology, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, to enhance lesson delivery.
Prepare students for internal and external examinations.
Participate in school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.

Requirements

Candidate must possess an HND qualification / B.Sc. / B.Ed Degree in relevant disciplines.
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a reputable secondary school.
Proven track record of preparing students for external examinations (WASSCE, BECE, UTME, IGCSE etc.).
Proficiency in the use of the interactive white board and deployment of ICT tools in teaching and learning.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
A 21st-century educator with an innovative and creative teaching approach.
Result-driven, goal-oriented, and passionate about student success.
An adaptable learner with a teachable spirit.
Well-groomed and professionally presented.
Able to build and maintain excellent relationships with learners.
IGCSE Certification is an added advantage.
