Job Summary

To monitor, control, and optimize the DRI plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent production within set quality and productivity targets.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and control day-to-day operations of the DRI plant to maintain stable process parameters.
Monitor process indicators (temperature, pressure, gas flow, metallization rate) and adjust operating conditions as needed.
Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams for smooth plant running and quick resolution of breakdowns.
Ensure adherence to safety, environment, and quality standards during operations.
Prepare daily operational reports and assist in analyzing plant performance data.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce energy consumption, and minimize downtime.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Production Engineering.
2–5 years’ experience in DRI / Steel / Process plant operations (preferably rotary kiln or shaft-based DRI).
Good understanding of process control, production parameters, and safety procedures.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and plant data monitoring systems (DCS/SCADA preferred).
