Following the approval by the National University commission on December 21, 2006, Osun State University (UNIOSUN) became the 30th State University and 80th in the Nigerian University system. Osun State University is a conventional University envisioned to be a centre of excellence through the provision of highly qualitative teaching and learning experiences which will engender the production of well-rounded entrepreneurial graduate capable of impacting positively on their environments while also being globally competitive.

UNIOSUN is a multi-campus institution operating collegiate system. There are seven colleges in six campuses located in six geographical zones of the state .Requirements
The applicant must possess acgood first degree (Bachelor's) (not lower than Second-Class Lower Division) in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University, plus at least twelve (12) years post-qualification experience, ten (10) of which must be in similar jobs;
Candidates should be registered with both COREN (Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria and NSE (Nigerian Society of Engineers).
Candidates should have excellent communication skills and must have high computer proficiency;
Candidates must have served as Chief Engineer (Civil/Electrical/ Mechanical) for at least four (4) years in a University System;
Candidates must be able to initiate, execute, and/or coordinate all minor works, maintenance activities, and capital projects in the University;
Candidates must demonstrate evidence of accomplishment as a Chief Engineer in a University system with clear evidence of output both in IGR projects and externally funded projects.
