Benin Electricity Distribution Plc. (BEDC) is one of the retail electricity distribution companies licensed by the federal government Benin Electricity Disco (“BEDC” or “Benin Disco”) is one of the successor distribution companies (Discos) created following the unbundling and privatization of the state-owned Power Utility, Power Holding Company of Nigeria Plc. BEDC is responsible for retail distribution of electricity in Delta, Edo, Ekiti, and Ondo States with geographical coverage of 55,770 square kilometers. The company operates from twenty five (25) business districts with approximately 350 offices located across the four (4) states with about 13 million people and about 4 million households.Job Description
Conduct HSE Training programs
Ensure compliance obligations with HSE Regulations
Compile and maintain Incident/Accident Register
Investigate and present Reports of all incidents/accidents as required
Identify hazardous wastes/Substances and disposing them according to environmental guidelines
Enforce compliance with the Company’s PPE Policy
Implement preventative measures to ensure unsafe processes do not reoccur
Conduct Safety Meetings, Tool-box, and Pep-talks at regular intervals.
Conduct emergency evacuation/response procedures.
Conduct risk assessment
Perform any other duty that may be assigned.
Requirements
Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 3 years work experience in the role or similar roles
Membership of ISPON is compulsory. Other Professional certification are added advantage.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
