We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance & Accounts Officer to support our financial operations in Kano.
The role involves managing daily accounting activities, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of hands-on experience in accounting and finance, with strong analytical and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger postings.
Prepare accurate financial reports, reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly closing statements.
Support budget preparation, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, PAYE, VAT, WHT, and other statutory deductions.
Maintain proper documentation of financial records and ensure timely filing of reports.
Assist in internal and external audits by providing required information and documentation.
Monitor bank transactions and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
Support management with financial insights to guide decision-making.
Uphold financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
Professional qualification in progress (ICAN, ACCA, or ANAN) is an added advantage.
2–3 years of experience in Finance & Accounting (preferably in FMCG, manufacturing, or corporate environment).
Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Tally, or SAP).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.
Salary
N250,000 – N300,000 Monthly.
