We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Account Officer to join our finance team.
The Account Officer will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of financial data.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets as required.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
Monitor cash flow, track expenses, and ensure financial compliance with company policies.
Assist in preparing for audits and work with external auditors when necessary.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Support the finance team in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Assist with tax preparation, filing, and compliance.
Handle any other accounting-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zohobooks) and MS Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
