We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cashier.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Post customer payments by recording cash, cheque, and credit/debit card transactions on the accounting software.
Maintain a comprehensive record of all cash, cheque, and credit/debit card transactions for future reference.
Manage an accurate and up-to-date hospital income record by handling bank cheques and documenting relevant transactions.
Ensure proper documentation of handovers of cash, cheques, and POS printouts.
Prepare regular (weekly) cash flow reports for management review when required.
Maintain confidentiality of all patients' and hospital's financial information.
Manage petty cash and disbursements.
Issue receipts to patients for services rendered by the organization.
Lodge cash and cheques into corporate accounts as needed.
Safely keep custody of cash and cheques received until bank lodgment.
Ensure the good working condition of POS, cash safe, and other relevant tools used for the role.
Requirements
Minimum academic qualification of an HND/BSc in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or any related field.
Minimum of 1-year relevant work experience.
Excellent customer service skills.
Working knowledge of accounting and financial concepts and practices.
Full working knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, especially with spreadsheet software (Excel).
Excellent communication and people management skills.
Must reside in Warri, Delta State or its environs.
