The University of Ilorin, also known as Unilorin, is a university in Ilorin, Nigeria.
It was established by a decree of the Federal Military Government in 1975 and is a federal government owned tertiary institution of education located in Ilorin, Kwara State, western Nigeria.[1][2] The ancient city of Ilorin, capital of Kwara State, is about 300 km from Lagos and 500 km from Abuja, the country’s administrative capital. Candidates must have a good University Degree plus ten (10) years cognate experience and evidence of membership of a recognized Professional body or Master's Degree plus seven (7) years cognate experience with evidence of membership of a registered professional body.
Candidates must possess SSCE / GCE (O/L) or its equivalent with at least 5 credits inclusive of English Language and Mathematics.
Candidates must have a NYSC certificate and be computer literate

Appointment is normally on probation, which may be confirmed after two years of satisfactory service.
