The University of Ilorin, also known as Unilorin, is a university in Ilorin, Nigeria.
It was established by a decree of the Federal Military Government in 1975 and is a federal government owned tertiary institution of education located in Ilorin, Kwara State, western Nigeria.[1][2] The ancient city of Ilorin, capital of Kwara State, is about 300 km from Lagos and 500 km from Abuja, the country’s administrative capital. Candidate must possess (a) SSCE/GCE (O/L) or its equivalent with at least 5 credits inclusive of English Language and Mathematics plus OND/NCE (Accounting/Finance) from any recognised institution plus seven (7) years cognate experience and be computer literate or SSCE/GCE (O/L) or its equivalent with at least 5 credits inclusive of English Language and Mathematics plus Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy or Business Administration with accounting subjects obtained from a recognised institution with NYSC certificate and be computer literate.
