The HR Manager will play a pivotal role in driving Fortis’ transformation by ensuring that our people and culture remain at the heart of our growth. This role will oversee recruitment, performance management, training, and employee engagement, building on existing structures and introducing best practices that align with Fortis’ Operating Model.
Key Responsibilities.
Performance & Capability Development
Reinforce quarterly performance reviews and link them to company objectives.
Design training and development initiatives to strengthen technical and leadership skills.
HR Operations & Compliance
Oversee payroll, benefits, and contracts in line with Nigerian labour laws.
Ensure HR practices meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
Maintain accurate HR records and reporting for decision-making.
Strategic HR Leadership
Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team on all people-related matters.
Candidate Profile
Essential
5–7 years of HR experience in financial services, fintech, or high-growth organisations.
Strong understanding of Nigerian labour law, HR compliance, and workforce planning.
Demonstrated success in recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
Proven ability to shape culture and drive employee engagement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable
Experience in fintech or financial inclusion sectors.
Knowledge of Balanced Scorecard or other performance frameworks.
Professional HR certification (CIPM, CIPD).
