The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales and market share growth for the company’s milling products (e.g., flour, wheat, animal feed).
The role involves developing strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction while achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Market and sell the company’s milling products to existing and prospective customers (wholesalers, distributors, bakeries, food processors, feed manufacturers, retailers, etc.).
Conduct regular market visits to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Identify and develop new business opportunities, including expanding into new territories or customer segments.
Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends to provide insights for business strategy.
Work closely with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
Collect customer feedback and resolve complaints promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Prepare and submit periodic sales reports on activities, opportunities, and challenges.
Support promotional campaigns, trade shows, and marketing initiatives to boost brand visibility.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (an agricultural or food science background is an added advantage).
5-8 years’ proven sales experience in the milling or agro-allied industry.
Strong knowledge of flour, wheat, grains, or feed milling markets preferred.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territories.
