Human Resource Manager leads the HR function in attracting, developing, and retaining talent aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. The role is responsible for designing and implementing HR strategies, systems, and policies that drive organizational performance, employee engagement, and sustainable growth. Acting as a trusted advisor, the HR Manager provides guidance on people-related matters while ensuring alignment between HR practices and business strategy.
The ideal candidate will create a supportive work environment that enables employees to perform at their best while fostering a competitive and positive workplace culture. The role also oversees workforce planning, succession, capability development, and employee motivation, while collaborating with executive management and line managers. Additionally, the HR Manager represents the company in partnerships with external HR solution providers and contributes to initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and long-term business success.

Job Details

Scope of Responsibility and Accountability:

Oversees manpower planning, human capability development, and performance improvement systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and providing interventions to address workforce challenges.
Develops and implements high-impact HR strategies, frameworks, and policies (covering recruitment, performance, reward, career development, and succession planning) to support corporate objectives and extract maximum value from the workforce.
Drives leadership development, coaching, and succession planning programs, including targeted mentoring and career growth initiatives to build a pipeline of high-potential talent for business continuity.
Leads initiatives to foster a competitive and collaborative corporate culture, driving culture-change programs and supporting change management across major corporate projects and business initiatives.
Designs and oversees capability-building programs (e.g., Graduate Trainee Scheme, Leadership Development, coaching interventions) to close competency gaps and enhance organisational and individual performance capacity.
Leads annual performance planning, monitoring, and appraisal cycles; tracks employee competencies against business requirements; and implements fair, competitive reward systems to drive motivation and accountability.
Ensures efficient HR operations, including employee data management through HRIS, manpower planning, employee cost budgeting, and optimisation of staff costs, while maintaining accurate and timely HR information for decision-making.
Builds and manages relationships with internal clients, employee groups, and high-value external HR partners to strengthen areas such as manpower training, employee relations, compensation strategy, and culture enhancement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Statistics or related field with a minimum of second-class grade.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in HR operations and/or consulting within a structured business environment, ideally in the oil & gas or energy sector.
Relevant professional certification (e.g., CIPM, CIPD, SHRM, SPHRi) is required.
