The company has been assigned to design a fundamentally robust FMCG business model – based on the principles of Insight Driven Strategic Marketing and grounded on an efficient Sales, Distribution and Logistic infrastructure, that can be scaled up to deliver for the groups FMCG ambitions in a dynamic & competitive environment.

The responsibility of creating & developing a pan-Africa market for all existing FMCG offerings from the group also rests with TGI Nigeria Ltd.Job Summary 

Provide support in effective planning and tax compliance.
Timely monthly compliance – VAT, WHT, PAYE taxes, etc
Preparation & filing of Annual PAYE tax returns.
All PAYE tax / e-TCC related issues
Income tax preparation & filing
Support the team with respect to conducting compliance health check with the view to identifying and mitigating potential tax risks.
Quarterly intercompany transactions review for TP purposes
Annual TP filing
Lead/support FIRS Tax engagements – audits, investigations, desk reviews etc
Lead/support FIRS TP audits
Tax/TP audit readiness exercises
Respond to queries from both federal and state tax authorities within stipulated time limits.
Lead/support State tax audits
Provide timely information on tax issues and assist management during tax audits with the view to minimizing Group tax exposures.
Clarify tax matters to both internal and external stakeholders.
Obtain the Corporate Tax Clearance Certificate (c-TCC) from Federal Inland Revenue Service and Electronic Tax Clearance Certificate (ETCC) from the State tax authorities.
Maintain effective working relationship with relevant tax authorities.
Provide support to HR in the processing and obtaining of Tax Clearance Certificate for individual staff from State Board of Internal Revenue of their place of Residence.
Process and collect tax receipts and credit notes from the relevant tax authorities (FIRS & State Board of Internal Revenue).

Educational Requirements 

Bachelor’s degree.
Relevant professional qualifications (ICAN or CITN) – (advantage)

Experience, Skills & Competencies 

Minimum of 5 years tax experience in relevant field – Consulting and / FMCG. 
Strong practical understanding of Taxation system in Nigeria.
Proficient use of TaxPromax
