Reconciliation Officer – Niger State at Credit Direct Limited

With a staff strength of over 1000 employees and an active customer base in excess of 300,000, Credit Direct Limited is positioning itself to become the dominant market leader in the unsecured micro-lending (payroll lending) space in Nigeria and indeed Sub-Saharan Africa.The Reconciliation Officer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records by performing regular reconciliations of accounts. This role involves reviewing and reconciling discrepancies between internal records and external statements, identifying errors, and resolving issues in a timely manner. The Reconciliation Officer will collaborate with various departments to ensure financial data is accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies and industry regulations.
Job Details
Conduct thorough post-disbursement checks to ensure that loans are properly set up and aligned with payroll deduction schedules, minimizing errors and ensuring smooth repayment processes.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with employer payroll units, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to facilitate accurate and timely payroll deductions.
Monitor loan repayments to ensure they are received promptly and accurately, addressing any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner to maintain financial accuracy.
Regularly review and analyze loan portfolios to assess health and performance, identifying potential risks and areas for improvement to enhance overall portfolio stability.
Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to loan setups, payroll deductions, or repayments, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up to date.
Prepare and present regular reports on loan setups, payroll deductions, and portfolio health to management, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proficiency in financial management software and tools; strong understanding of payroll systems and loan management.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess financial data, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
