The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for overseeing and growing sales operations within the assigned region.
The ideal candidate will lead field sales teams, manage distributors, wholesalers, and key open market stakeholders, and execute sales strategies that drive performance, visibility, and revenue for our seasoning portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute territory-specific sales strategies to drive seasoning product penetration.
Open and grow sales across key markets and trade channels.
Identify, appoint, and manage distributors, sub-distributors, wholesalers, and open market traders.
Lead and supervise Sales Officers to achieve monthly KPIs and territory objectives.
Drive market visibility through in-market activations and trade marketing initiatives.
Ensure product availability and pricing compliance in retail and wholesale points.
Prepare and submit accurate sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with top customers and trade partners.
Core Requirements (Non-Negotiables)
5–7+ years in FMCG sales with 2+ years managing a field team (Seasoning, Sauces, or Food Products experience STRONGLY preferred).
Solid Contacts Base in your Chosen Market Cluster.
Territory Expertise for OYO Market: Must Have a Deep Knowledge of OYO/IBADAN.
Track record of leading sales teams and meeting targets.
Tech-savvy (CRM tools, WhatsApp Business, Excel).
