Job Description

The Fleet Officer will be responsible for overseeing the company’s fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are properly maintained, effectively utilized, and compliant with all regulatory standards. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and supervisory skills.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise the daily fleet operations to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
Monitor driver activities, vehicle usage, and fuel consumption to control costs and prevent misuse.
Ensure that all vehicles are properly licensed, insured, and roadworthy at all times.
Schedule preventive and corrective maintenance for all vehicles, ensuring minimal downtime.
Track and analyze fleet performance using reports and fleet management tools.
Conduct periodic driver training and safety checks to promote compliance with company and government regulations.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and vehicle breakdowns, providing timely reports and recommendations.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle documents, repairs, and operational expenses.
Support the recruitment, onboarding, and performance monitoring of drivers.

Qualifications & Skills

B.Sc. Degree / HND in Transport Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
3–5 years’ experience in fleet management or logistics operations.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, transport laws, and safety regulations.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of fleet management software is an added advantage.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
