Senior General Manager at Bolt

This is not just a management role, it’s an opportunity to lead transformational impact at scale. You’ll collaborate closely with HQ teams (Growth Analytics, Expansion, Central Operations, Marketing, Product, Regulatory, CS), report directly to the Regional Director for Africa & Southeast Asia, and inspire teams in two countries that are central to Bolt’s Africa growth story. Nigeria and Ghana are core growth markets for Bolt in Africa: fast-paced, competitive, and full of opportunity. As Senior GM, you’ll have the chance to shape the mobility landscape in two countries, drive measurable impact at scale, and leave a lasting mark on Bolt’s Africa journey. You’ll work with passionate teams, bold stakeholders, and some of the most exciting mobility challenges anywhere in the world.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Lead strategic and annual business planning for Nigeria and Ghana, ensuring bold plans are translated into strong execution
Identify country specific risks, trends, and opportunities, and create tailored responses to drive growth and mitigate challenges.
Oversee day-to-day operations and financial performance, ensuring efficiency and maximum impact from investments.
Design and implement in-market expansion strategies and launch new services/features to strengthen our competitive edge.
Own the P&L for both markets, delivering consistently against ambitious KPIs.
Lead and inspire high-performing teams across Nigeria and Ghana.
Build future leadership capacity through succession planning and development.
Foster Bolt's culture by encouraging ownership, innovation and collaboration.
Partner with HQ teams (Growth & Analytics, Product, Legal, Marketing) to deliver initiatives that scale growth and efficiency.
Be the face of Bolt in Nigeria and Ghana:advocate for our brand, product and services with policymakers, regulators and other external stakeholders.

About you:

You have at least 7 years of leadership experience in fast-paced, highgrowrth environment.
Proven track record in P&L management and delivering results
Experience in commercial operations, with leadership in complex, high-growth settings
Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Strong business acumen with the ability to identify growth levers across multiple markets.
Highly organized, with the ability to manage complex projects and priorities simultaneously.
Relationship builder who can anticipate stakeholder concerns and influence effectively.
Resilient, solutions-driven, and comfortable operating in highly competitive and complex markets
Analytical, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Comfortable with ambiguity, able to adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
Passion for technology, mobility, and the future of ridesharing.
Hands-on leadership style with a strong sense of ownership.
