As a GIS Analyst, you will be responsible for providing support to our Insights and Intelligence team, as well as work with project field teams using geographic information system tools to guide operations. You will also utilize various trends in geospatial analysis to execute high-value projects on behalf of the organisation.
Job Functions Include:
Solve business problems using geospatial analysis and advanced mapping techniques
Identify and interpret trends in complex data sets in non-technical terms
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain geodata base systems
Design and edit GIS data for numerous projects
Monitor and apply best industry practices to data-related projects.
Maintain data integrity and accuracy
Utilize ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and other geospatial/remote sensing applications in data visualization
Develop sustainable systems of collecting and managing data points
Manage necessary hardware and software
Deliver training and technical support to project teams
Create and produce regular reports and presentations in company areas such as project proposals, operational plans, route maps, project implementation plans etc.
Develop standardized internal controls to ensure continued data quality for visibility of metrics for analysis
Provide strategic recommendations to improve clients\' business models, goals, and milestone expectations
Maintain awareness and stay ahead of the game in innovation of current developments for new mapping and geospatial analysis techniques

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in GIS Analysis, Environmental Science, Geography, or related field
GIS certification preferred
3-5 years of experience with ArcGIS
Demonstrates a vast knowledge of cartography and at least some understanding of graphic design
Outstanding project management and facilitation skills
Detail-oriented and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to lift, carry, push, and pull lightweight materials (at most 20 lbs.)
Able to walk and stand for extended hours
Demonstrates a keen understanding of spatial data and algorithms
Shows the ability to enter data quickly, correctly, and efficiently
Understands how to convert data from older sources, such as maps and books, into digital formats
Understands how to create and edit metadata
Possesses the ability to build models to create an efficient workflow
